Resumen

The Ministry of Health revealed that Brazil is positioned in 8th place in the world ranking of suicide cases. In 2014, 1.14% of suicides were recorded, however, these rates do not show the total reality of the problem, since there is a great flaw with regard to the registered case notifications by the health services, as the family masks the cause of death. Among the professionals whose suicide rate is worrying, is the military police category, because is an extremely stressful job, undervalued, in which the policeman is threatened, pressures from society, superiors, operational stress, among other risk factors to the suicide. The objective of this work is to approach the high suicide rate in the Military Police of Federal District. The work was based on presenting approaches under three aspects: therapeutic, academic and psychoanalytic approach on suicide, in the visions and concepts of Hellinger, Durkhein and Freud. For this, a bibliographic search of articles in scientific databases on health was carried out. and periodicals from teaching and research institutions in Brazil, whose collection and reading period of 40 articles was between August 2018 and February 2019, of which 20 were part of the citations of the work. It was observed in the bibliographic research that there was an increase in cases of suicide in Brazil, however, in the DF, statistics are not widely publicized. It was perceived the difficulty of find literature on the topic addressed, mainly because it is a subject where data are masked or hidden.
