The Intelligence Activity is on the rise in the organizational importance of different
corporations. In public security, Intelligence follows the same path, having the capacity to
influence the decision-making process of the manager with the provision of several levels of
advice, which makes it one of the most important tools for decision-makers in the public
security scenario. In this way, in the Knowledge Production Cycle, the accessory techniques
play a fundamental role so that it can understand and extract the best possible information from
its analysis. In turn, the accessory technique of Link Analysis, with its own methodology, has
increased in importance with the advent of corporate database integrations. Thus, this research
aimed to analyze how the PMDF Intelligence Center can consolidate the Linkage Analysis
methodology in the production of knowledge. We analyze the formation of intelligence systems
at the federal and district level, with their structures and creation legislation. We went through
the Intelligence Activity Cycle, the Knowledge Production Methodology and we analyzed the
accessory technique of Intelligence Analysis. For the development of the research, legislation,
works, articles and other academic research were used. A questionnaire was distributed to the
heads of the Military Police Intelligence Agencies. The conclusion of the present work is that
the Brazilian Military Police, in their central intelligence agencies, are investing and promoting
specialization in Accessory Techniques, such as Criminal Analysis, Intelligence Analysis and
Risk Analysis. With regard to the specific theme of the work, we have that few military police
officers have a section exclusively dedicated to Intelligence Analysis. In the case of the PMDF,
through its Intelligence Center, we found it very important to follow this same path and foster
the creation of a specialized structure in Intelligence Analysis, with specialized police officers
through courses and instructions and specific contracted software, in addition to a management
in the sense of aggregating the various databases available, whether the institution's own or
those made available through cooperation agreements.
